According to newest weather forecast there will be light winds, mainly headwind or of variable direction at the Laugavegur track on Saturday. The wind will be at most 5 m/s near the peak of Hrafntinnusker. By Álftavatn, the sun will probably warm the sand areas. Fog or low clouds is very unlike pattern and also rain showers of any kind. It is very important for runners to wear a water belt and a headwear in the run on Saturday since it will most probably be hot on the track. Runners can change clothes at the midpoint of the race (Bláfjallakvísl). If runners want to send a small bag to the midpoint it has to be delivered to the Marathon office before 17:00 on Friday July 16th.
