    The 2018 Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon will place on Saturday, August 18th. Participants can choose between five different distances. On-line registration will open in January 2018 at marathon.is.
  • Reykjavik Culture Night

    The Reykjavik Culture Night is an annual event, held in the city of Reykjavik since 1996. The Reykjavik Marathon and the Reykjavik Culture Night take place on the same day, Saturday August 18th 2018. Click here for information about the Culture Night.
  • Run for charity

    All runners registered for the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon can run for a good cause. Collection of donations takes place on the web hlaupastyrkur.is. In 2017 runners collected more than 100 million ISK for 167 different charities. Click here for further information.

On-line registration is closed

On-line registration for the 2010 Íslandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon has now been closed.

Registered runners should pick up race package with bib number, chip for timing, t-shirt etc on Friday August 20th at the Reykjavik Marathon EXPO. Those who missed the on-line registration can also register at the EXPO.

The EXPO will be located at Laugardalsvöllur, the national football stadium. Click here to find the location on a map. The opening hours of the EXPO are from 10:00 to 19:00. Race packages for participants in the Lazy Town Run should be picked up at Engjavegur 7, a white/grey building close to the national stadium with the sign "ÞRÓTTUR".

We will serve a wonderful Barilla pasta dinner at the EXPO for participants. Friends and guests can buy the pasta dinner for 5 Euros. The Barilla pasta will be served from 16:00-19:00.

Five days to go

Reykjavik Marathon 2010 is only five days from now. Preparation for the event is on time and everything is about to be ready for Saturday.

Registration for the event is going well. This morning 4491 runners had registered for the run and 7000 more are expected to register over the next few days. On-line registration closes on Wednesday, August 18th. Click here to register.

The Reykjavik Sports Union was established in 1944 and is the association of sports clubs in Reykjavik.
