    The 2017 Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon will place on Saturday August 19th. Participants can choose between five different distances. On-line registration is open here at marathon.is.
  • Reykjavik Culture Night

    The Reykjavik Culture Night is an annual event, held in the city of Reykjavik since 1996. The Reykjavik Marathon and the Reykjavik Culture Night take place on the same day, Saturday August 19th 2017. Click here for information about the Culture Night.
  • Run for charity

    All runners registered for the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon can run for a good cause. Collection of donations takes place on the web hlaupastyrkur.is. In 2016 runners collected more than 90 million ISK for 167 different charities. Click here for further information.

Happy race day

Today around 15 thousand people will take part in the 2016 Íslandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon.

The race information center on race day is MR the white school building by the start and finish area. Information center opens at 7:00.

Registraton for the Kid´s Marathon will be in a tent in the south end of Hljómskálagarður garden.

Result service on race day

Tomorrow it is possible to follow the race results almost live here at marathon.is. Note that these are only preliminary results. Official results will be published on the web at 16:00.

It is also possible to receive a message on your Facebook wall or in your Twitter feed when chosen runners cross the finish line on Saturday. If runners want friends on Facebook or Twitter to know when they finish they should choose their own name from the list. Click here to activate this. Note that not all registered runners are on the list because they could choose not to be on it in the registration process.
