Registration for the 2013 Íslandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon that takes place on Saturday August 24th is in full swing. 7.456 runners have now registered for the race 42% more than 16 days before the race last year.
Most people have registered for the 10 k race, 3.702 runners, and second most for the half marathon, 1.926 runners. Registered marathon runners are 964 in total witch is a new registration record in the distance.
International registered runners are 1.866 from 58 different countries. This is also a new registration record. Most of the international runners come from USA, 427, and second most from the UK, 245. From Germany 184 runners are registered, 165 from Canada and 147 from Norway.
Last registration day is at the EXPO in Laugardalsholl Sports Hall on Friday August 23rd. Runners are though encouraged to register on-line to get a lower entry fee. On-line registration closes at 12:00 (noon) on Thursday August 22nd.

Registration for the 2013 Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon that takes place on August 24th is in full swing. Registration opened on January 9th and will be open until the day before the race.
