    The Reykjavik Marathon is an annual running event, established in 1984. The 2013 Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon takes place on Saturday August 24th. Registration for the race will open in January 2013.

    The Reykjavik Culture Night is an annual event, held in the city of Reykjavik since 1996. The Reykjavik Marathon and the Reykjavik Culture Night take place on the same day, Saturday August 24th
  • „The cleanest course I´ve ever run”

Welcome to the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon new website!

Registration is now open for the thirtieth Reykjavik Marathon that will be held on August 24th 2013. Registration will be open until August 21st but it will also be possible to register at the EXPO on August 23rd. Notice that entry fees for the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon get higher as it comes closer to the race. 

At this runners feast there are six distances. There is marathon, halfmarathon, 10 k race, relay race, 3 k Fun Run and the Lazy Town Run. We encourage you to check out all the information on the Reykjavik Marathon here on our website.

Registration starts tomorrow

Registration for all three events organised by the Reykjavik Marathon will start on marathon.is tomorrow, wednesday January 9th. The events are, additional to the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon, the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run and the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon.

The thirtieth Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon will be held on the 24th of August. This will be, as in previous years, a true runners feast that has to offer 6 different distances. Everybody interested in participating should therefore be able to find a distance suitable for them. The 6 distances are marathon, half marathon, 10 k race, relay race, 3 k Fun Run and the Lazy Town Run.

You shouldn't miss out on this huge birthday party. You don't even have to bring a gift, only register!

When registration starts the "On-line" registration button on the right will be active. We will also let you know by posting a new story under news here on the web and with a post on facebook.
