Today more than 14 thousund people will take part in the 2013 Íslandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon.

The race information center on race day is MR the white school building by the start and finish area. Information center opens at 7:00.
In the Islandsbanki Reykjavik Marathon 2013 runners are offered help to reach their goals in the 10 km run, halfmarathon and marathon. Pace makers will run these distances at an even speed. They will be wearing marked vests and carrying balloons so that runners can follow them.
Pace makers have been offered in the Reykjavik Marathon since the year 2009. Then it was available for participants in in the 10 km run and were runners very pleased with this. Pace makers have been a part of the Reykjavik Marathon since. In the run 2010 pace makers were both in half marathon and 10 km and for the last two years pace makers have also been in the marathon distance.
The pace makers are all trained runners that will run at the following times:
