  • Geothermal pool

    Close by the start and finish of the race is one of the city’s wonderful geothermal outdoor swimming pools, Laugardalslaug. All participants are invited to the swimming pool, hot tubs and steam baths after the race. It's a perfect way to relax after a successful race in the midnight sun.   • Three distances

    In the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run you can choose between three distances; half marathon, 10 km race and 5 km race. The rout has some great viewings like the salmon river Ellidaa, lake Raudavatn, and a beautiful golf course. The race starts in Laugardalur valley which is in full bloom this time of year.

Registration in full swing

The 2016 Suzuki Midnight Sun Run will take place on Thursday June 23rd. Registration for the race is now in full swing. Almost 1000 people have registered for the race, 50% more than same date last year!

In the 2015 Suzuki Midnight Sun Run participants can choose between three distances: half marathon, 10 km and 5 km. All distances are timed and AIMS certified.

Discount price on t-shirts

At the marathon.is webstore you can buy t-shirts with the Suzuki Midnight Sun Run logo. This week the orange t-shirts are sold on discount price because this is the last week to register for the race at the lowest entry fee. The full prize for the t-shirts is 3000 ISK but are sold at 2400 ISK (approx. 20 USD or 17 EUR) until Friday. Click here to view the webstore.

The Reykjavik Sports Union was established in 1944 and is the association of sports clubs in Reykjavik.
