The Lazy Town Run is for children 9 years and younger. Parents can run with their children but are not registered. Three different distances for different age groups are available; 700 m for 5 years and younger, 1,5 km for 6 and 7 years og 2 km 8 and 9 years.
The Lazy Town Run takes place in Hljomskalagardur, a beautiful garden in the center of Reykjavik by the Pond. Registration fee is the same as last few years, 8 Euros. Included in the registration fee is a t-shirt handed out in Laugardalsholl on Friday August 21st from 10 to 19. All participants must wear the t-shirt to get a price when finishing the run. Parents can run with their children but are not registered and do not pay entry fee.
Parents are asked to write a name and a phone number on the bracelet handed out with the t-shirt. Then put the bracelet on the child so it is easier for the staff to find parents for lost children. The staff will be located in a tent near the stages in Hljomskalagardur.
Brothers and sisters can run together but then the older ones have to run in a group with the younger ones. Different age groups run on different times from different places so that the children can have more space to run. Children 6 years and younger can have one adult companion.
Runners are divided into three age groups
- 8 og 9 years - yellow route - 2 km
- 6 og 7 years - red route - 1,5 km
- 5 years and younger - green route - 700 m
